Private limited liability company “Vilniaus prekyba” is a private holding company, headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania, that oversees, controls and manages the group of subsidiary companies operating the chains of retail stores, pharmacies and real estate development and management companies in the Baltic States, Sweden, Poland and Bulgaria.

The principal activity of the Holding is owning the shares of the subsidiaries and executing the shareholders rights with a purpose to ensure a steady growth of the controlled businesses. In addition, the Holding has proved itself as the think-tank and centre of expertise for the group companies through accumulation and dissemination of the best practices, experience and relevant knowledge in the fields of business and economics, financial management, taxes and law. The Holding is also undertaking the role of business performance analysis and control, institution of operating guidelines and strategic directions, coordination and representation of the group.


Activities of the Group Companies

Activities of MAXIMA GRUPĖ, UAB group – retail trade in food and consumer goods and services. Retail trade is directly carried-out through its subsidiaries in different countries: by MAXIMA LT, UAB and indirectly controlled UAB “Barbora” in Lithuania; MAXIMA Latvija SIA in Latvia; MAXIMA Eesti OÜ in Estonia, MAXIMA BULGARIA EOOD in Bulgaria and EMPERIA HOLDING S. A. in Poland. MAXIMA GRUPĖ, UAB also owns a subsidiary FRANMAX, UAB, key activities of which include franchising and agency services to companies of MAXIMA GRUPĖ, UAB.

The main activities of EUROAPOTHECA, UAB group are defined by retail and wholesale trade of medicines. Retail trade is directly exercised by subsidiaries of EUROAPOTHECA, UAB in different countries: by UAB EUROVAISTINĖ in Lithuania; EUROAPTIEKA, SIA in Latvia, OÜ EUROAPTEEK in Estonia; EURO-APTEKA Sp. z o.o. in Poland. Wholesale trade of medicines are carried out by EVD, UAB in Lithuania, EUROAPTIEKA FARMACIJA, SIA – in Latvia, Baltfarma, OÜ in Estonia. EUROAPOTHECA, UAB also owns Apoteksgruppen i Sverige Holding AB in Sweden, which provides franchise and management services to 189 pharmacies operating under the Apoteksgruppen brand.

“ERMI group” manages UAB “Ermitažas”, which operates chain of stores of construction and finishing materials as well as household goods in Lithuania. Currently UAB “Ermitažas” operates shopping centres in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai, Jonava, Ukmergė and Mažeikiai.  In 2018 ”ERMI Group“ acquired 100 percent share control of Estonian company “Bauhof Group”,  thus becoming the third largest DIY sector store network in Baltic States.

AKROPOLIS GROUP, UAB, develops and manages real estate development and shopping centre lease and management companies in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Bulgaria. At the end of the year 2017, the company group have started developing the multifunctional shopping center “Akropole” in the capital of Latvia – Riga. The company group also owns bowling company acting under a trademark “Apollo”.
